What is Worship?

Worship is more than just singing with our hands in the air. It is the response of grateful and humble people to the living God, where submission, sacrificial service, praise, and gratitude are expressed freely in various ways.

Belonging to a church is more than just attending a service—it’s about becoming part of a family. In Galatians 6:10, Paul encourages us to do good “especially to those who belong to the family of believers.” That word—belong—carries significance. It suggests intimacy, connection, and commitment. When we belong, we are not simply welcomed—we are truly wanted.

We often talk about our “before Christ” and “after Christ” stories, but there’s a deeply sacred space in the middle — the moment when Jesus meets us, just like He did with Paul on the road to Damascus. That encounter is where everything shifts. It’s where light breaks through the darkness, questions meet answers, and purpose is born.

We all have stories to tell—genuine, honest moments when God met us at our lowest, carried us through, or completely changed us. But too often, we hold back from sharing. We think our stories aren’t polished enough, dramatic enough, or relevant enough. The truth? If Jesus has touched your life, your story matters—and someone in your life needs to hear it.

Telling others about our faith can be one of the most meaningful—and most intimidating—parts of following Jesus. Fear of rejection, awkwardness, uncertainty, or feeling like we don’t measure up can all stop us in our tracks. Yet Jesus invites us not just to believe in Him, but to shine for Him.

When I first launched Connect Home Life, it began with a simple mission:
To help fellow empty nesters make their homes feel warm, welcoming, and meaningful again — through DIY projects, home improvements, comforting recipes, and encouragement for this new stage of life.

But something deeper kept stirring…

As I walked through my own seasons of transition — health challenges, job shifts, spiritual reset — I realized it wasn’t just about the house anymore.

It was about what happens in the heart when the noise quiets, the calendar clears, and you’re left wondering:

Redemption is one of the most beautiful and powerful words in the Bible — but what does it actually mean in our daily lives?

At its core, redemption means being bought back, rescued, or restored. It’s what Jesus did for us on the cross. Through His death and resurrection, He paid the price to free us from sin, shame, and spiritual death. But redemption isn’t just about going to heaven someday — it’s about transformation here and now.
